Vision Statement

The Tennessee Charter School Incubator seeks to dramatically increase the number of students in Tennessee entering and completing college each year through the creation of high-performing, college preparatory charter schools. To achieve this goal, we will initially focus on the state’s two largest school systems: Metro Nashville Public Schools and Memphis City Schools/Shelby County Schools.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Tennessee Charter School Incubator is to provide students in Tennessee greater access to schools that prepare them for success in college and beyond. As a result, TCSI will start up to 16 high-performing, college-preparatory charter schools in high-need areas of Nashville and Memphis and provide these schools with on-going services that support their academic programs, operations, and governance.
